Prove yourself
Take the GED Tests

Is lack of a high school diploma keeping you from getting that new job or attending college?  Let us help you reach higher levels of success!

Why take the GED Tests?
The GED Tests can help you move on to the next level—college, technical training, or a better job.  For most employers, colleges and universities, and branches of the military, passing the GED Tests proves that you're ready to meet the challenge.  If you have children or grandchildren, you may want to take the GED Tests to encourage them to pursue their education.  Or you may want to take the GED Tests just to feel good about reaching a goal you set for yourself.

What you need to know
The Arkansas GED Testing Program serves all Arkansans who are 16 years or older, not enrolled in or graduated from high school, and who meet other state requirements regarding residency and testing eligibility.

The GED credential is based on five tests.  The tests cover reading, writing, social studies, science, and mathematics.  The tests also measure communication, information-processing, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.  The GED Tests are designed to measure whether adults can demonstrate the competencies, skills, and knowledge equivalent of a high school graduate.  The GED Tests are a nationally recognized measure of high school knowledge and skills.

So, prove yourself.  Take the GED Tests.

Are you READY?
Before taking the GED Tests in Arkansas, you must take and pass the official GED Practice Tests through an approved Adult Education Center or GED Testing Center.  If you need additional instruction, you can enroll in instructional programs in your community.  GED study guides are also available in your local library or bookstore.
